Hi, I’m Jamie Kucia — children’s author, creator of the Twinkletooth series and the An Ariel Story series, and founder of Sunberry Press.I write heart-centered picture books that celebrate curiosity, kindness, and the meaningful milestones of early childhood. My stories are designed to help children navigate new experiences with confidence while creating space for connection between children and the adults who love them.

The Twinkletooth series was inspired by my daughter, Ariel — her imagination, her questions, and the everyday moments that revealed just how powerful stories can be in helping little hearts process big feelings. The An Ariel Story series continues that mission, focusing on relatable childhood experiences and gentle guidance through important developmental milestones.
Through Sunberry Press, I am committed to creating engaging, beautifully crafted books that combine warmth, humor, and emotional insight. I believe picture books are powerful tools — not only for literacy, but for building confidence, resilience, and meaningful conversation.I am passionate about school visits and connecting directly with young readers, encouraging creativity, curiosity, and a love of storytelling.
I live in Buffalo, New York, with my family and a very curious pup who occasionally inspires stories of his own and often finds himself in the middle of the adventure.
